therapy Types

Exposure & Response Prevention Therapy (ERP)

ERP therapy is a behavioural therapy that gradually exposes people to situations designed to provoke a person's obsessions in a safe environment. ERP is often used to treat OCD and some anxiety disorders.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

Clients will learn how to identify, question, and challenge thoughts, patterns, and beliefs that are related to the behavioural and emotional reactions causing them difficulty. CBT is a common therapy for anxiety.

Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT)

Clients will learn to become more aware of their emotions and understand the role of them. EFT promotes the awareness, acceptance, expression, utilization, regulation, and transformation of emotion.

Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT)

Clients will learn to stop denying, avoiding, and struggling with their emotions and, instead, accept that these inner processes are appropriate responses that should not prevent them from moving forward within their lives.

LGBTQ+ Affirmative Therapy

Affirmative therapy is more than just accepting one's identity. The therapist is trained with tools and knowledge to support clients in their journey including but not limited to gender transitions, exploration, and curiosity.
