Our services can be claimed under health insurance plans that cover services provided by a Registered Psychotherapist.
We advise that you check with your insurance company prior to your session to confirm if your services are covered and eligible for reimbursement.
Some things to ask your provider:
You will be provided with a receipt that will include all information required to submit a claim to your insurance provider. If you're not reimbursed you can keep all your receipts to claim for tax dedications as a medical expense on your personal income tax filing.
Nope. A referral is not required to book a session. With that being said, referrals are welcomed by health care professionals and service providers. If you are a health care professional or service provider looking to make a referral, please send an email my way.
There is no one size fits all. These consultations are kept informal. Consultations are a free 20 minute phone call where we can determine if we are a good fit. You can ask me anything you like such as my approach, concerns you may have, fees, goals for therapy, and so forth.
The first session will consist of a clinical interview. My hope is that you come with all required questionnaires and forms completed and sent prior to, as this gives me a chance to get to know you before we begin. During the first session, I will listen to you, ask you questions, get to know you and the issues you are facing, and we will discuss your therapy goals.
Currently all services are virtual. We operate out of Whitby, ON. Virtual services are limited to Ontario residents only.
